Our itinerary

The itinerary for our 2014 visit:

Wednesday 2 April

Pupils arrive and meet outside the Botanical Gardens on Clarkehouse Road, near school

Mrs Harrison will collect any labelled medication to be given

Leave at 8.15am approximately, 3 hour journey including a couple of stops

Enjoy a picnic lunch at Beningborough Hall

Victorian activities at the Hall

Arrive at Sneaton Castle Centre

Evening meal about 6pm

Games night at the Centre

Thursday 3 April

Go to Whitby and walk down the 199 steps! In groups, with an adult, conduct a shop survey in the town and walk along the pier

Travel to Robin Hood’s Bay and have lunch at the Old Coastguard Centre, now run by the National Trust

Conduct a Rockpooling Investigation at low tide

Do the Village Trail, in groups, with a Teacher

Return to Whitby, Guest Speaker: Rose Ryland - Tales of Whitby!

Friday 4 April

Pack up belongings to return home

Leave Sneaton Castle at about 9.50am with a packed lunch

Visit Pannett Park Museum in Whitby, accompanied by the Storyteller, Rose Ryland

Arrive home at approximately 4.15pm
